Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and will close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house which has a combined gross house earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of income.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all click here South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their nsfas 2025 application.
